About the Founder, Harry Fink

Picture of Harry Fink

Grounded in the technology field since the early 1980’s, Harry began his career in the U.S. Coast Guard before becoming a software developer for Unisys. While at Unisys, he served as a senior systems analyst, managing the staff and computer systems for a large military facility.

From 1989-91 Harry managed a network and IT staff, which included 150 workstations and eight servers, for the U.S. Coast Guard Aircraft Repair and Supply Center in North Carolina.

After moving to Maryland in 1991, Harry became a consultant for a large computer consulting and training company. While there, he implemented the first Internet services for the Coast Guard in Washington D.C. and managed the network backbone for 2,400 computer systems, including 15 network services computers.

In 1994 he added to his list of credentials by becoming a software trainer for computer administration at the company. He also managed the business’ software development division and planned, implemented and managed the Internet Service Provider (ISP) department. He provided consulting services in data analysis and systems, as well as network administration.

Included in the long list of Harry’s career experiences are software development, data modeling and normalization, project management, system management, networking and instruction. He also received substantial recognition over the years, including accolades for his work creating the first encryption algorithm and software package available for CTOS and the first self-extracting application for CTOS/BTOS (which Unisys said could not be done).
